 |   Breeder's Description - 'Northern Bright' | | | | Northern Bright is a hybrid of Northern Lights and Haze. Northern bright produces relatively small leaves and long stretchy buds. The smoke is heavy and the odour is a little bit sour. Northern Bright produces an intense up buzz that is optically pleasing. This strain takes a little longer to finish but is well worth it.

 | I had a few problems trying to fill out some of the fields mainly because i had such mixed results with the 3 plants that I grew..

2 of 3 plants turned out Sativa dominant which both turned hermie, probably due to the begginers error.
They had very few male flowers but enough to pollinate a good percentage of the grow... The buds were long (some as long as 12 inches) but were very light and fluffy, with few crystals in sight... It also had a cereal type smell and a similar taste.
The high was not much to shout about and I was not very impressed to say the least!
Ease to grow - 9/10... Never had problem with these from start to finish, except for the dreaded male flowers.

As for the other plant that is a different story...

This one turned out Indica dominant. It was an extremly potent smelling plant, that smelled skunky during the veg stage and a fruity type smell during flowering.
This plant needed more attention than the other 2, on 2 occasions it had nute deficiency, but was well worth the extra effort.
The high was couch lock at its best, 2 J's put me in my place.
I am gutted that I didn't clone it! It would be worth buying 10 seeds just to get a mother of this quality.
Ease to grow - 8/10... A few minor nute problems but nothing too serious.

 OVERALL WEIGHT = 3-3.5oz / approx. 100 grams
Also I should add both phenos required a lot of manicuring.

Unfortunatly my digicam broke near the end of my grow, so no final harvest pics, sorry.

PHOTO 1 - This is a pic of one of the Sativa buds @ 40 days flowering.

PHOTO 2 - This is a close up of the Indica dom plant @ 35 days flowering.

PHOTO 3 - a not so close up of the indica dominant plant

PHOTO 4 - This shows the difference in size between the 2 phenos; the lower left are the Indica dom buds, and the towering buds behind are the Sativa doms @ approx 35-40 days flowering.

NOTE - This is my 1st succesful grow and I only grew 3 plants, therefore my results should not reflect badly in any way on this strain.

 |   Garden Information for this report   | Cabinet size HxWxD (inches) - 48x32x24 My set-up is a 250w HPS SCROG using soil as the medium. The sides of the cabinet are lined with emergency foil blankets, and for ventilation I have 6 pc fans (4 intake, 2 exhaust) and two 8 inch oscilating fans. The average temps lay at about 85-90 F. The plants were watered as needed using the 'weight of the pot' method (check GrowFAQs if unfamiliar with this method), and fertilized twice a week using chemical ferts @ npk 12.5/25/25 for flowering and 15/10/10 for vegging. |

 | Excellent grow very forgiving much like it’s Northern Light parentage. Was growing this strain continuously for at least a year. After experimenting I found at 10/11 weeks the buds are branch benders. You must watch for mold in later stages as buds are that big (good ventilation a must). Responds we ...continued
